You can check out a cool article on Chop Cult of this build HERE NOW.

This is the second of the two bikes I built for Born Free 3 back in 2011. It was originally clad in fiberglass race fairings (seen in one of the pics below) and basically made as a road race bike in a rigid frame. The original fiberglass is now in the hands of Mr. Holt and the Street Chopper crew for their salt flat knuckle, but the rest remained here at the shop and was built up for Sumo, a friend across the pond.

Motor is stock ’47 FL along with the frame and oil bag. Some other assorted OG small stuff and a bunch of whatever Sumo decided would turn it into the right deal. It went through a couple permutations before hitting the nail on the head and being what made us both pretty happy. I didn’t know if I’d like all the bits once they were together, but in the end, it turned out to be a great little number. Here are some of the photos from along the way and the final product. It’s now in the UK and being tinkered with by its new owner and I’m sure we’ll see a bunch more additions over the years.

And here’s how she looked in 2011 – photo courtesy of Tim Sutton – Tim did a knockout job with the photos and made the front fairing see-through, but you get the overall idea of where this one was.
